The institute established by Indian Center for Advancement of Research & Education, Haldia (ICARE) has been recognized by National Council for Teacher Education and is affiliated to West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) . The institute will conduct Diploma in Education Programme.
The institute is located at an exclusive pollution free campus near Subarna Jayanti Bhavan at Amlat and is very closed to Mecheda-Tamluk-Haldia state High way. The institute has state of art infrastructural facilities, like Science (both Life & Physical), Geography labs etc., Modern Education aids, huge library, computer training facilities etc. apart from practice teaching facilities.
Academic session of D.Ed. course will start in June/July or as may be decided by WBBPE or any other competent authority. The duration of the course is of two years.
Minimum 200 days each year exclusive of the period of examination out of which at least 40 days shall be for practice teaching / skill development in nearby elementary schools.
